About

Vaquera Cinema is a dissident film production company based in Barcelona.

The name comes from McKenzie Wark's Reverse Cowgirl — Vaquera Invertida in Spanish. Like the book, we turn things upside down: we produce and programme queer and dissident cinema, made from the margins and the collapse, by the people who live it.

About

A safe space for dissident narratives.

Dissident House was born in January 2021 to support the development and production of film projects that bring new perspectives to the industry. We want to become a home for dissident stories and to push forward the next generation of voices in Spanish and Latin American cinema — through development labs, production and creative support. Always under construction. Let's keep creating our own spaces.
